National Elf Service Day is our silly seasonal fundraiser to get you into the Christmas spirit while raising money for The Children’s Appeal at Ipswich Hospital.
Free your Elf by dressing up at work, at school or with your family and friends. Dress in your elf hat or ears and/or wear a Christmas jumper and ask each person to donate £2.

You can hold your National Elf Service Day anywhere! Celebrate with your colleagues, friends or family at work, school, home or in the community.
Our goal is for our young patients and their families to have the best possible experience when they come to Ipswich Hospital. To help us to achieve this we need to create a modern, welcoming and child-friendly environment which matches the high standards of care our staff provide. Building the new children’s department will cost approximately £2.5 million. Here is an example of how the money you donate might be used to help:

There are many ways you can donate. Please choose the method that suits you.
By post: please make your cheque payable to ‘Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity (Children’s Appeal)’ and send it to: Charity Office, Postbag No49, Ipswich Hospital, Heath Road, Ipswich IP4 5PD.
In person: cash, cheques and CAF vouchers can be taken to South Finance Cashier’s located near the main entrance at Ipswich Hospital. Usual opening times are 10.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday (closed for lunch between 12.30pm – 1.00pm). Please ensure that you inform the cashier that this is a charitable donation for the Children’s Appeal.
Ward staff can also accept donations and have special envelopes for you to place your donation in which they will then pass on to our finance team to bank.
