Family Fun Day 2024 Join Colchester & Ipswich Hospital Charity's Family Fun Day! In celebration of the end of The Children’s Appeal we are holding a Family Fun Day and Tug of War battle! As the transformation of the Children’s Department at Ipswich Hospital approaches completion, we are looking forward to celebrating our community's generosity with a fun filled day of activities. The day begins with the Welly Walk, an interactive 5km walk inside Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park. A Tug of War will also take place at the Family Fun Day, and will see teams across our hospitals and services compete to crown a fundraising champion and a Tug of War champion. Family Fun Day tickets will give you access to a range of fun family friendly attractions, stalls, entertainment and to spectate the Tug of War. Individual tickets do not allow access to Jimmy’s Farm, however if you would like to enjoy the park also, tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate on the day at the ticket office or online in advance. We were delighted to open the children's outpatient's department as the first phase of the project in December 2022 but we are continuing to raise additional money in 2023/24 so that the Children’s Department at Ipswich Hospital can be completely redeveloped transforming the experience for young patients and their families.
