About this trip (Various dates available)

Climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world! Kilimajaro is the highest mountain on the African continent at 5895m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally. Your trek takes the Machame route, allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude- and an excellent chance of reaching the summit. We pass through thick forest, moorland and scree en route to Uhuru Peak, the highest point. This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive mountains in the world.

Testimonials - Provided by Discover Adventure

"A once-in-a-life-time experience. It was extremely hard (especially summit night!) but the team were fantastic, we all bonded with each other and all of the local support crew. An amazing experience." - Rachel

"I was looking for a new experience that I could combine with fundraising. The Kilimanjaro trek was absolutely breath-taking - in both senses! Organisation and support, before and during the trip, enabled the entire group to reach the rim of Kilimanjaro. I'd never climbed a mountain of any sort before booking the trip, so there was an almighty sense of achievement." - Jim

"Our leader was spectacular and in-country support was absolutely second to none, especially our head guide. This was an incredibly hard experience but now that i'm home, I can appreciate what it gave me and what I gave to myself by completing it." - Liana
