Do I have to leave a gift in my will to the charity?

No, you do not have to leave a gift to the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity in your will. We would urge you to remember family and friends first. However, if you do choose to leave a gift to the charity you can be assured that it will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity is the umbrella charity for over 200 funds representing most areas of the Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. If you wish to leave a gift to a particular area of the Trust, try to avoid being too specific about a ward name or piece of equipment because these can change in the future. You can of course indicate whether you would like the gift to go to a designated area, such as the children’s wards or to dementia care for example, to ensure that your wishes are met.

What difference will my support make?

Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity works to make the hospitals better for patients and staff. Your donation will support our work by:

  • Improving the hospital environment
  • Providing new equipment
  • Helping staff care for patients more effectively
