Simply contact one of the participating solicitors listed below to make an appointment, which must take place during February 2019. When you make your appointment, please state you are taking part in “Make a Will Month” for Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
Your solicitor is giving their time free of charge and asks that you make a donation to Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity instead of paying their fees. The donations, to be paid online in advance of your first appointment or by cheque/CAF at your first appointment, are:
£85 for a Single Will
£150 for Mirror Wills
Note: Should your requirements be more complex, then the solicitor can advise you of any further costs which may be incurred.

Once you have paid online you will receive a receipt by email which you must take with you to your solicitor as proof of payment.
Alternatively, you may pay by cheque or CAF voucher at your first solicitor’s appointment. Please make cheques payable to Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Your solicitor will also collect your name and contact details so that we can thank you.
Note:We may not process cheques/CAFs until March 2019 when they are collected from the participating solicitors at the end of the scheme.
No, you do not have to leave a gift to the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity in your will. We would urge you to remember family and friends first. However, if you do choose to leave a gift to the charity you can be assured that it will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity is the umbrella charity for over 200 funds representing most areas of the Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. If you wish to leave a gift to a particular area of the Trust, try to avoid being too specific about a ward name or piece of equipment because these can change in the future. You can of course indicate whether you would like the gift to go to a designated area, such as the children’s wards or to dementia care for example, to ensure that your wishes are met.
