Jessica Watkins – Events & Community Fundraising Manager

Jess has been working for the charity since 2014. After graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in Management Sciences and a brief stint in consumer goods she decided the private sector wasn’t for her and decided to take her first career steps in the charity sector.

Jess says one of the best parts of her job is being able to be a part of so many people’s touching fundraising stories, she loves meeting people and hearing why they are doing amazing things for The Ipswich Hospital Charity. In 2017 Jess took on some of the events herself including the abseil and in 2018 she will be cycling from London to Paris for the charity!

In her spare time Jess enjoys baking, which can be handy with lots of charity bake sales, expanding her gin collection and spending time with her loving cats.

Jess leads on The Ipswich Hospital Charity events programme and is the key contact for enquiries from and engagement with local community groups & associations

Angela Bakun – Fundraising Officer

Angela joined the team in 2017.  Angela’s background is in accounts and book-keeping but after personal fundraising decided that the charity sector was the career path for her.

Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs Poppy and Archie at the weekends whether that’s in the garden at the cinema or a trip to the seaside. (obviously the dogs don’t go to the cinema!).  Angela is also training to be a dog groomer in her spare time.
