Zeelandia UK, care about local people. As part of their global Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, they are committed to supporting key charity activities each year, working alongside organisations that are doing incredible things in the community and are close to the heart of their team members.

Since 2021, they have been supporting Colchester & Ipswich Hospital Charity, as they recognise our efforts to fundraise, provide grants for improving patient care and experience, local medical research, capital developments, as well as staff development and wellbeing at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Similar to their vision of delivering excellence in their ingredients and service provision to the commercial baking industry, our vision is to drive significant improvement in patient experience and support the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) as an outstanding health service provider.

Sandra Gosney community fundraising manager said; “I was delighted when Zeelandia UK nominated us in 2021-22 as their Charity of the year. Staff have been wonderful, participating in a number of fundraising activities throughout the year including quizzes, the Santa Fun Run and made a generous donation of £826.43 in support of the Colchester Hospitals Children’s Ward.

“When we have asked Team Zeelandia for assistance they have been amazing and provided us with wonderful cakes to refuel our Hospital Hero Hikers in both 2022/23, and most recently, supplying delicious cakes for our Cancer Wellbeing open days at both Ipswich and Colchester Hospital. Thank you to Zeelandia for their generosity, and we are extremely grateful for their continued support of their local NHS Charity.”

Their talented Development Baker Courtenay Jones baked over 200 chocolate muffins using Zeelandia’s Choco Muffin Mix, to celebrate the opening of new Cancer Wellbeing Centres in Colchester and Ipswich. Courtenay added: “Being born in Colchester, I know all too well the excellent work that our local hospitals do to keep our residents healthy, so to be able to raise awareness of the charity through our fundraising efforts while baking, which I love, is such an honour.”

A big thank you to Zeelandia for their continued support.
