Consultant paediatrician Dr Matthew James and team welcomed supporters for a special visit to Ipswich Hospital’s Neonatal Unit.

Members of St Clements Golf Club in Ipswich delivered a fantastic donation of £2,000 to enable the team to purchase Hot Cot Mattresses.

The mattresses are significant in the care for tiny babies, they help to maintain their temperature and prevent separation anxiety from parents.

The club has a long-standing relationship with the unit; captains have for many years chosen to support their local NHS Hospital. The team were lucky enough to welcome those that paved the way and reminisced over their previous visits. They even enjoyed a brief moment to look over old photos.

This kind donation will help to make a difference to the lives of staff, patients and their families for many years to come. Our sincere thanks to all at St Clements Golf Club and special thanks to Derek Norton, Alan Dickinson, Ken Wright and Rick Osborne.
